Who is the band/artist you first recall hearing as a child?

Mom had the radio on all the time when I was a Little *******.
Beatles/Stones/Joplin/Doors/Tommy James&The Shondells where all regulars back then.
My Dad had an old opel stationwagon&a few tunes I rember from back then while rideing in the back

My very first memories of any thing rock would have to be Steppenwolf. I would have been 8 or 9 years old at the time and I can remember my brother blasting "Born to be Wild" and my mom yelling at him to turn that "shit" down.




But my first musical memories would have to be country music. My mom loved it. Her favorite artist was George Jones and she wore out quite a few albums playing them over and over.

Also the Royal Guardsmen with the 3 Snoopy vs The Red Baron songs

Mum and Dad played music all the time when I was a tot so grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Rory Gallagher, Thin Lizzy, Dire Straits, AC/DC, lots of blues, heavy metal (Dad), Nick Drake (Mum).

My Mom constantly had Motown going.

Still groove on it to this very day.
