If I write a long reply, or am making a band thread, I do the same as you guys, copy the text, just in case.

Yeah, I think that happens when the server resets itself. It regularly happens at night. Doesn't happen at all, or very much during the day.

The lag and freeze ups seem to be improving, although I do still experience a terrible lag when replying to a poll and when opening private messages.......

If this continues to plague anyone, please let me know ASAP. The Apache server is being monitored and any glitches corrected as they are found. Letting me know when lags, freeze ups, and time outs happen to you (and what you were doing when you had a time out) greatly helps Shaggy with fixing all the glitches :)

Everything is running smooth on my end

Most likely due to the new look.

However, the server does still reset itself each night, so you'll still get an error message for a bit until it's completely reset itself. Nothing a bit of page refreshing can't fix though.

CRF keeps freezing up a lot...when I try to switch from thread to thread...and when I try to post.

The funny thing about this all is, when I first joined CRF in 2010, I was amazed by how smooth going this forum was running.

LG and Magic, I'm no expert, so please please don't get offended by me suggesting this....

But maybe by deleting all the ''grave yard posts'' and all the ''serious debate and discussion'' archive can free up a lot of bandwidth...I don't know if that will do anything - but it might be worth checking into....storing all those archives might be bogging things down here?

Just a suggestion - who knows it might work?
