This type of song/genre does not normally fall into my normal listening rotation, but there's something about this song that I really dig.

I really like the chorus with both the male and female vocal harmonies. the overall feel of the song is pretty somber, but I definitely like it.

Another song that is FAR removed from my normal musical rotation is this interesting number I discovered a couple of years ago while watching the Rescue Me (FX show starring Denis Leary).

Portishead - Glory Box



I think they were playing the song towards the end of one episode with Leary's character sitting in the bar after closing time, sucking down a bottle after dealing with the inner demons he had to deal with throughout that series. Very cool show and this is definitely a cool tune.

It has an infectious groove, kinda like Bowie's "Fame". I give it a solid 7/10.

^^^ Song has a very 70s sound to it. In some parts, the singer sounds like Randy Newman, and then the next verse he doesn't. 7/10.
