I own these Best Of/Greatest Hits CDs and they're worth buying. :)
But even though I own these compliations, I still buy their indiividual solo albums because these greatest hits CDs don't have all the songs.

I still haven't gotten George Harrison's. :(

Well it's vastly subjective, ain't it? For me, I can do with just the GH disc from...

Bob Marley
Guns N Roses
The Eagles
Johnny Cash
Eric Clapton
2Pac
Sheryl Crow
Allman Brothers Band
Yardbirds
Deep Purple
Queen

Mind you, these are mostly artists I like a lot. But sometimes the best is the best and the rest ain't all that interesting. There are a lot of great Hits compilations out there. It mainly depends on how interested in the artist you are.

My question was are the Greatest Hits or "Best of" enough for the artist in question or should one buy full albums? I don't think I have enough free time left in my life to listen to everything I already have but I am still on the prowl for something new LOL It's a disease :bonk:

Well I own Lennon, McCartney, and Starr's Best Of/Greatest Hits cds. But I still buy their individual solo albums because those cds don't have all the songs but only a selection of their most famous ones.

Maybe it's just me but I'd be perfectly fine with just The Beatles "1" album.

^^I am sure TL is just tweaking yer tail feathers Annie.:D

Jethro Tull, M.U. Volume one is a great collection of his best early songs, I bought it in 1975 and it was the gateway to exploring the rest of his music.

You are missing a lot of good songs if you just buy a Journey's greatest hits. They have a lot of better rock songs than stuff like Faithfully and Open Arms.
I think I could put together a cd of their non-hits that might just be better than their greatest hits cd :grinthumb

Their slow songs aren't terrible but prefer their rock songs better.
