Hey Rockers & Music Lovers,
The Mighty QUO are the most versatile music Group in Music History.
They defy the Latin meaning of their name.
I was 7 yrs old when I had my QUO epiphany in 1968.
I heard the piercing Lead Guitar opening of " PICTURES of MATCHSTICKMEN".
I thought " What is that?!!!! "
I was blown away.
I had no idea of the music journey I was to go on.
Then in 1970 I heard " Down The Dustpipe "
This is a tight, punchy, Bass laden, Boogie tune with rollicking piano.
I still rate it as one of the most exciting tunes I've heard.
I always play it 3 or 4 times in a row, because it is only 2 minutes in duration.

Later on in the mid 70's I discovered that this Hard Rockin' Boogie Band had a 'Back Catalogue '

  4. "Hey Little Woman" (Previously unreleased version) (Lancaster) - 3:56
  5. "Are You Growing Tired of My Love" (A. King) - 3:31
The transition they made to 1970's " In My Chair " & " DownThe Dustpipe " is amazing and incredible.
Their albums that followed their Psychedelic Era were " Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon " in 1970, which still had some tinges of Psychedelic sounds.
Then " Dog of Two Head " which was a Hard Rockin' Stoner album in 1971.

I only discovered the Back Catalogue after PILEDRIVER, HELLO, QUO, ON THE LEVEL, BLUE FOR YOU etc.
I own 33 studio albums by QUO & only a few of them are below par or cringeworthy ( DUE TO THEM EXPERIMENTING WITH STYTLES )
I have to possess them to complete the collection.
After all, the two most powerful words in Rock Music history are STATUS QUO.
LONG LIVE STATUS QUO!!!!!!! ( Spinal Tap ) LOL!!
The Best & Greatest Rock Band in history.
RIP - RICK 'REG ' PARFITT & ALAN ' NUFF ' LANCASTER

I was listening to 'the Quo' earlier this morning first 'the dog album' and then the Quo live in 1971 which was a good way to start the day over a hamburger and maple syrup and a mug of coffee!.

Hey Leslie,
Tell me " the Quo live in 1971 " was that in Sweden?
YOU TUBE HAS SOME VERY COOL VIDEOS OF QUO playing DOWN THE DUSTPIPE and IS IT REALLY ME/ GOTTA GO HOME. ROY LYNES on Keyboards.
'the dog album' and Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon albums sold quite well in GERMANY / NETHERLANDS / NORWAY & SWEDEN in 1970 & 1971.

The record sales in these Countries is what kept QUO going financially until PILEDRIVER and World Domination.
Except for North America, they remained ignorant until You Tube raised their awareness.

Hey Status Quo yeah I believe it comes from a Scandinavian radio broadcast from 1971 and in fact is very good to excellent sound quality. The songs that are played are The Doors Roadhouse blues, In My Chair, Junior's Wailing, Railroad and about three others that I can't remember off hand?.
