Crack the Sky's s/t debut recieved much critical acclaim and Rolling Stone citied it as the album of the year for 1975. Though it never had a hit single it recieved a lot of airplay.
Thier follow-up, Animal Notes(1976) was a huge disappointment as it took on more of a darker theme.
In 1978 a live album was issued followed by Safety in Numbers. Vocalist/song writer John Palumbo left half way through. The magnificant "Nuclear Apathy" was the highlight.
John Palumbo returned to the band in 1980 after a solo Lp. The band still continues on today but has never lived up to thier eponymous album.
