Just an observation - take a look at the classic albums already mentioned in this thread. I take the view that 1977 was the year when the era of the album peaked. My personal choice, 'Animals' has already been mentioned, along with a great pop/rock record - 'Rumours'.

I was thinking about the same thing...how much great music there was to listen to back in '77. I'm a little too young to remember but it must've been awesome to turn on the radio and hear a new classic coming out every week.
