Cheap Trick covering Terry Reid. I much prefer the Cheap Trick version due to the guitar and honestly it isn't the best Terry Reid vocal performance. For those that don't know, Terry was a candidate for vocalist of Led Zep before Robert Plant took the job.

I never connected the Trick song to Reid even though I owned both lps at about the same time (though Reid was out 7 years before Trick)....I didnt discover him right away.
Trick did a good version and Reid might have needed a better producer then but he wasnt into power pop anyway....more of an eclectic singer song writer.
I think Reid had a very good voice and wrote some nice songs but only an average guitarist. I have his first 3 on original vinyl. He never knocked my socks off and Plant was a better choice for Page imho.

That first lp and In Color are the only Trick records I still own...though Heaven Tonight and Dream Police had some good tracks....but the band always seemed a bit 'cheesy' to me.....not sure why...
