Like to see a few more post their 'ten best'......as I said it seems to be 'our favorite ten' best because some of those posted aren't on other fan and critic lists.....indeed I have never even heard of Billy Nichols and a few others I mentioned above. And some of the others ,while they did some good lps, imho they sure arent ten best album quality....but as always it's subjective.
Thoughts.....?

I thought the boys of Zepp liked what ABBA were doing..........and Aerosmith was moved by RunDMC.
That said, no one thinks to highly of who the HOF has in, or doesn't.

1. Physical Graffitti
2. Exile
3. Zepp 4
4. Dark Side
5. Abbey Road
6. Electric Ladyland
7. Zepp 2
8. Blonde on Blonde
9. Sticky Fingers
10. Highway 61 Revisited

a few i haven't seen noted:
Master of Reality, Paranoid...... Loaded.....Velvet Underground........No Fun....Stooges......Number of the Beast..........Nothing Shocking and Ritual De Lo.............

Shouldn't we have a separate list for live albums? If not, to not include ya ya's , well in my opinion, it's just wrong. Sympathy, MIdnight, Stray, Love in vain, jj Flash....All among the greatest recordings ever. hands down.

^ Live albums is a good call.....Bon please start a thread on that.

I wanted to name a few lps that should imho be in any serious rock fans collection at home.
These are not big names like Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin, Who, Bowie, Dylan, etc...though a few have become better known after many years while a few remain unknown to the general public.
A few of my all time favorite records that I never tire of hearing. These just popped into my head but I'll post others if they come to me....albums that 'talk to me' for various reasons.
In no special order......

Love- 'Forever Changes'
Spirit- '12 Dreams of Dr Sardonicus'
Captain Beyond- st
The Move-"Shazam'
Humble Pie-'Rock On'
Nick Drake-'Five Leaves Left'
Captain Beefheart-'Clear Spot'

This is the list from the video on page one...as voted by his you tube watchers.

10.Fleetwood Mac- Rumours
9.Bowie- Ziggy Stardust
8.Who-Whos Next
7.Rush-Moving Pictures
6.Led Zep-4
5.Dylan-Blood on the Tracks
4.Stones-Exile on Main St
3.Beach Boys- Pet Sounds
2.Beatles-Revolver
1.Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon

Comments...anyone want to knock the list..pick on an album...?
;)
I have Rumors, Who's Next, Pet Sounds and Dark Side of the Moon. Who's Next is a fine album, though I prefer their Tommy.

Albums from the 50s

I don't have many from the 50s and this could well be one of those decades which comes back to bite me, though while Rock Music has it's origins there, other contemporary artists were also around. Of that decide I would suggest listing to The "Chirping" Crickets though another one worth listening to is from the "Hungry i" from the Kingston Trio.

Albums from the 60s

Unlike the 50s, I have so much from this decade, it will seem strange I won't be going for the usual suspects, though rather one of the albums which references another popular album, I am of course referring to Realization by Johnny Rivers with it's popular hit Summer Rain and while The Beatles weren't quite producing a concept album with Sgt. Peppers, The Moody Blues produced one as clear as Day with "Days of Future Passed".

Albums from the 70s

I don't have as many albums in the 70s compared to the 60s, though I still have a few, most seem to be in the early 70s to a couple in the mid to late 70s. Pink Floyds "Dark side of the Moon" is an outstanding album, though I'm also fond of the album they trashed with "Atom Heart Mother" and then towards the end of the 70s comes Dire Straits with their Communiqué album.

Albums from the 80s

It could easily be Dire Straits again with Brothers in Arms or Love Over Gold, though I'm picking out a couple of Australian albums instead with Goanna's "Spirit of Place" and Icehouse with "Man of Colours".

Albums from the 90s

Like the 50s I don't have a great selection here, it could even be Pink Floyd and their Division Bell album, Oasis's Morning Glory?, Clapton's Unplugged, or even The Seekers 25 Year Reunion Celebration  Though a couple of interesting albums from that period are The Sundays "Reading, Writing and arithmetic" and R.E.M.'s "Automatic for the People".

^ I own everything on the original you tube list but I dont play some of them very often. From that above list...Beatles, Stones (early lps), Who, Zep being my favorites.
I dont have any 'original lps' from the 50's but some 45's and compilation cds and lps released in the 60's. I'm a fan of Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Willie Dixon, etc and have compilation things with Holly, Berry etc. but play the blues things more.
I have most of the 60's 'hit' artists and of course all the Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Who , etc material.(45's and lps) The bulk of my collection is certainly the 70's- all the classic rock icons as well as many under the radar people. From 1970 on I have become a huge fan of prog rock both known and unknown bands
as well as jazz fusion. The list above in post #26 is a good indication of the more eccentric bands I gravitate to. I also collect and enjoy prog folk...Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, Nick Drake, John Martyn,,, and many others. Not many 80s-2000's bands in my collection except for prog and fusion that came out then and a handful of new wave/alt bands.
