An interesting list of 'ten best rock albums of all time'. I probably should have said 'your favorite ten best.'
Never heard of Sturgill Simpson, Turnpike Troubadors, Louvin Bros.....heard of all the others.
Big fan of Prine....and one of my old friends (now passed on) was a fan of Guy Clark.
:)
I just noticed today that I did put the word 'favorite' at the end...its hell to get old. :uh:

Not bad 70s Guy but I would change Sabbath's The Mob Rules to Heaven And Hell and also Bon Jovi's New Jersey to Slippery When Wet and 'maybe' Deep Purple's In Rock to Machine Head. On Aerosmith's Live Bootleg it has a song on it towards the end that I don't like and it's maybe a 'reggae song' which puts me off the whole album so never listen to it.

Please give 'em a spin.
Finally spent some time listening to those 3 artists mentioned above.
I'm not generally a fan of 'country music' but I do like some country rock.
The Louvin Brothers old time country/gospel is not for me at all.
Turnpike Troubadors had some interesting songs in that neo trad country rock style which were ok but not something I would play on a reg basis....but would listen to a song here and there.
I found Sturgill Simpson very interesting....very good /clever lyrics , nice voice with solid melodies, but still a bit too country at imes for me.....though I am a fan of Steve Earle from the old days so alt country/outlaw country is something I could listen to if I'm in the mood.
