Good policy. I was a mod on another board and I used to ban spammers and trolls all the time. It was a file sharing site so people would troll and leech and basically drag the community down. First I would give a warning unless they were E-thugs or biggots, then I signed them up for the most offensive porn I could find (sent to the email they registered with) and banned them. I ruled with an iron fist but the board went belly up, I miss my power fix, haha.
I had a game server for a few days and bots came in regurgitating racial epithets every 5 seconds, couldn't ban them all, had to shut her down. Thats the double edged sword of the internet, it brings people closer but unfortunately some of the people are perverts or thieves or hateful....trolls
I wish I could do like Jay and Silent Bob and get all their IP's and mad plane tickets and go drop a beating on all of them personally.
