Ever hear a song by a band you like, and think to yourself, "I wish [insert band/artist here] would have covered that"?

Not only just a particular artist, but your favourite (or at least within the top 3 :D).

    Think/post/proceed.

I often listen to songs and thing "I wish the Beatles would cover this", but those dreams seem quite far-fetched at this point I'm afraid :heheh:

Jethro Tull covering the Lemon Pipers ''Green Tambourine''

For years, I always thought this would be great...

Can't you just hear Ian Anderson singing, ''Now listen while I play...
    my green tambouriiiiine''

One of my fave bands, Avantasia has actually covered Don't Stop Believing by one of my fave bands Journey, however, Tobias Sammet decided not to release it on the new albums... I hope it will see the light of the day on some single or EP release..

Umm it's a really common experience for me to go, this song would be substantially better if it was covered by a punk band

I like a good punk cover but there are sooooo many of them out there and with most of them are just sooooo predictable and one dimensional I can't honestly say that I stomach very many in succession. :/

One thing I really would love to hear is The White Stripes cover The Red Hot Chili Pepper's "Don't Forget Me". That would never happen in a million years but it just seems like a really good idea to me. :flirt

I would like to see Budgie do Tom Sawyer by Rush, preferably after a few beers
and front middle of a cosy little venue, packed out. He has the voice for it.
