Btw, my comment about being Angus not being easy on the eyes was the sight of an old man in his school boy uni. :D

Of course he still has every right to be on stage.

I agree. That's always mystified me as well.

:wtf:

Wasn't that the time when Rick Wakeman was with Yes? Rick Wakeman kinda did alright as a Solo performer with that "Journey To The Center of The Earth" which came out in 1974 - a couple of years after he was with Yes and perhaps that album had some influence into how Yes formed a fan base. Merely a theory.

*** Flower runs for the hills .......

i second that. Perhaps their biggest hit Whole Lotta Love is a cover. it was originaly done by the legendary willie dixion. Jimmpy page highly overrated guitarist almost as much as Clapton. Robert Plant fell on his face hard when he tried to sound bluesey IMO.

Overrated to me means over played on the radio stations. I dont think Led Zeppelin is overrated in talent, musicianship, or production....NO WAY, they are god's in that respect. But they were over played, especially "Stairway to Heaven".

If I have to choose a band that I would consider overrated, using talent, musicianship, and production standards as my guide, I would choose KISS. Very overrated group.

As much as I love AC/DC, they are overrated, but still kicking out the jams :D That is one aspect of AC/DC I always liked, you only need 3 seconds to know exactly who the song is from, they have a distinctive, reoccuring sound in all their music.

Metallica anyone???

I alwat respect your opinion magic, but not only is LZ overplasyed they get way to much respect as far as talent goes. I do agree about AC/DC. They are boring IMO for the fact i can get shook me all night long and highway to hell mixed up if i am not paying attention. I always hated angus young's schoolboy outfit. Metallica as a whole is a good band but as individuals overrated in areas. Lars Ulrich one of the most underrated drummers of all time. just because he looks like he is constipated everytime he hits a drum dont make him a good drummer. His work on St Anger is all i needed to hear to say he is overrated. Kirk Hammet is a one trick pony a great soloist and that is it. I will say James Hetfield is pretty damn good rhythm guitarist and one of the better metal frontmen. Cliff Burton one of the best bass player i think of him the same way i think of Hendrix or Rhodes and i say what if?
