Hey Axl Rose and Elton John was pretty wierd as well.
In fact any duet with Axl Rose back in the late 80's early 90's was bizzare.

But I digress. I actually think this could work. I can only count myself as a casual fan of either Reed or Metallica, but this is an interesting pairing. I'm glad Metallica aren't just continually rewriting "The Unforgiven"

^^Can't be much weirder than Eminem doing a duet with Elton John...
I always thought that was a good performance and Elton wasn't that odd of a fit considering he filled in a singing vocal that the song already had and just played his regular piano. If Elton had a rap verse then it'd be weird.
I agree and hopefully THIS chance they are taking may turn out to be a good one considering their previous risks were terrible.
