It's a matter of opinion (obviously), but for me its no contest..Springsteen easily!!

I honestly don't know or listen to very much Joel.

But, Springsteen has such great stories IMO...All of these albums kick ass IMO

Springsteen, just on the virtue that he is a better vocalist. IMHO Billy Joel cant sing worth crap. Springsteen has such energy on stage.....have you ever seen Joel sweat on stage, I haven't

Seriously, me and my friends used to joke about it all the time. He sings like he's gotta pinch a loaf...or trying to....lol

Billy can sing, he's no Placido Domingo, but he can sing...

Both are a tad overrated IMO. Though I probably like more of Billy Joel's songs than Springsteen's

I think Billy sings beautifully so I'm going to have to very much disagree with you, Magic. And while we're at it I'd also like to point out that I think Ben Folds is a good singer too.

Have you ever seen Billy Joel live? I'm sure he's slowed down some by now but I saw him in '83 and he was a helluva front man. Anytime he wasn't busy at the piano he was running all around the stage and dancing on his piano.

Springsteen's best work was in the 70's. I think most fans would agree.
