After a few spins from both albums, I'm not a big fan of either. Which one do you think is the best or do they both just stink?

I just did a quick listen on YT. Monster is better!

Aerosmith's backing vocals really suck (they've always sucked) -- they totally ruin any song that dose have promise on this album. The guitar is OK, it is a bit like the old Aerosmith at times, but it in spite of what Perry thinks, or says, it is NOT like Toys or Rocks.

The ballads are weak. I think they sound like some 21's century country hick garbage. I couldn't believe they had a freaking Carry Underwood duet...BUT, It wasn't too bad of a song actually -- probably the best song on the disk because it cut out the horrible backing vocals. It's pretty sad that they need Carry Underwood to have a good song (what does that say for this has been band).

Tommy Thayer kicks Joe Perry's *** on guitar. KISS, as a whole, blows Aerosmith away. My one problem is there are too many Gene songs on this disk for me. Paul sings WAY better.

From my quick listen on YT:
- Aerosmith's disk blows. They lost it a long time ago, and they still suck. Give it up.
- I think Monster it's a pretty decent disk, but it need more Paul tunes. Unlike Aerosmith, KISS can still rock.

Monster DESTROYS Music From Another Dimension.

Don't really like the new Kiss album that much. Yeah, it's pretty heavy for them but, it's not very catchy and the songs don't really stick in my head. Aerosmith's new release is also not a favorite of mine, it's certainly far removed from the 70's style, back to roots album that was advertized. However, I'll still take it over the new Kiss based on the songs that I do like.
