I vote for "Monster". No rap, no some vague instumental fragments. Simple armor-piercing glam-hard-rock. And it's good.

With all due respect to all of the soldiers currently serving in the KISS Army I haven't much cared for their last few records. "Music From Another Dimension" however I can dig. It's not the best Aerosmith album by any means and it's a tad longer than it needs to be (3 or 4 songs are mostly filler and could probably be trimmed off) but it's still really solid. I really love. "Out Go The Lights", "Street Jesus", "Another Last Goodbye", and "Something" in particular. They're certainly much better than another on "Just Push Play" (though I do admit to being rather fond of "Fly Away From Here").

first week Aerosmith sold 65.000 copies and KISS 59.000 (vinyl was not counted - not all the sellers report to soundscan)...almost the same numbers....

Aero debuted at #5 and KISS #3.

Probably shouldn't vote as I've only really heard maybe 3 or 4 tracks from Monster on radio, and like everything else they do to me it just sounds like bad early 1970's Slade, so I'll vote for Aerosmith here as I've been playing the new album all week and I love it.

I've listened to both and I have to say that Monster is the best. They really did well with this album and it rocks from start to finish.
