I always found listening to music while doing math work or science labs to help me out. Neither my math or my science teacher gave a shit about that stuff last year, as long as you weren't disruptive. Hell, my math teacher even let people listen to iPods during exams, but I found that to distract me a bit the few times I tried it.

Boy how things have changed!! We automatically failed an exam if we didn't use a fountain pen (although they did loosen the rules a little by the time I reached sixth form and allowed rollerball pens!), never mind being allowed to listen to music!

Used to be about 90 minutes to 2 hours, from the time I was about 15 until a few years ago. Nowadays, I'd say 25-30 minutes.

According to last.fm, I have listened to an average of 24 tracks per day since Oct 2009.

If you assume most of the tracks are 3-5 minutes in length that's 1 - 2 hours and that's just on the computer.

I used to listen to a lot more music but I started liking it more as a whole album because some of them you get a lot more that way or they tell a story.

Between my left and right speakers...
If driving to and from work with the radio plus being in the gym with my iPod is to be accounted? About 4 hours on a normal day. Sitting down to my system? It's normally three nights a week for about two hours.

2-4 hours or more......I listen to the whole CD front to back, so how ever long it takes to listen to 3 or 4 CDs.

^^ That's me right there man...when I have time...I do a couple sometimes three CD's in one sitting as I go fron to back....I try to get at least one or two in a day so I'd have to say at least 2-4 hours (or more on a good weekend) a day or good solid listening...that's if I can sit down and chill with music everyday.

It's 8 to 10 hours a day, but that's just because (A) I get about 8 hours of non-consensual music pumped at me while I work (not that I don't love it), and (B) the round trip walking to/from work is 2 hours and I usually listen to music, although sometimes it's podcasts or audiobooks.

On the weekends it's more like 3 or 4 hours per day.
