The only real big time rock band that I don't particularly "get" is the Scorpions. Know I'll probably be hated on for this, but aside from "Rock Me Like A Hurricane" or whatever it's called, none of their music does anything for me. Dunno what it is, just bores me.

Most big bands - The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, U2 et. al will always be overrated by the media, put on pedestals much higher than any man/woman - musician or not - could ever hope to reach. Doesn't mean their music isn't great though

Stop making up percentages. Half the music I listen to puts them to shame when it comes to complexity of songs. Especially their drumming. This is why I say they are overrated.

No what I was asking was wtf were you asking? You worded that sentence in such a way the question did not make sense.

Show me these bands which are making Radiohead look simple? I'm not trying to claim that they are the most complex of all bands but they are a hugely musically talented group and there music has a lot of good difficult musical concepts involved.

The question I was asking was, if I think the Beatles are over rated and who is over rated is purely based on personal preference then do you think The Beatles are over rated because if you don't than one of us is wrong.

Just because opinions differ does not make one right and one wrong.

Their music to me compared to bands like Tool, Dream Theater, Rush, Mastodon, Meshuggah, Symphony X, Baroness, Kylesa, Isis, Nuerosis, Sepultura, Lamb Of God, Atheist, Death, High On Fire, Queensrÿche, Planet X . I could keep naming more, but if you really had to ask who makes Radiohead look simple then you most not explore other genres too much.

Those bands that you listed are the sort of prog bands I admitted were more complex than radiohead (well Tool, Dream Theater and Rush at lest, I haven't heard the others really). But you'd find that most bands outside of prog aren't more complex, definitely a lot of bands a lot of people, you included I'm sure, hold dear.
