Forgive me, but why are we getting into a Ringo debate here? The thread title clearly asks "Your Favourite Rock Drummers of All Time?", and is clearly not asking who the best or most technically skilled is. As is with most of the threads in the rock lounge, it all comes back to personal opinion. :grinthumb

Clearly someone's pissed off, because Ringo doesn't get enough votes.

My favorite drummers of all-time?

Scott Travis (Judas Priest)

Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot/WASP/Faster Pussycat)

Cozy Powell (Black Sabbath/ELPowell/Whitesnake/Etc)

Eric Carr (Kiss)

I like guys who play LOUD. I ain't into drummers who sound on record like they are hitting a cardboard box with a fork (to my ears).

Before anyone lights into me for that last comment, I am not singling out any drummers who I believe sound like that. It is more of a generalization than anything. I just don't like weak-sounding drums on a record.

Instigating what, haha?

You said 'Im not saying Ringo's not great'

but then you go and say he's not great, but he's decent.

I also agreed that Ringo probably wouldn't crack my top 10, maybe you should read my posts?

Oh, and I think you're the one who's instigating :D

I'll just go ahead and say that this little "shin dig" is dropped. No hard feelings. I have differentiating opinions that can be confusing.
