I used to write reviews for a personal blog, but I stopped doing them, as they were taking up too much of my time.

In short, "The Astonishing" is aptly titled. It's long, damn long, but I've sat through it 3 times so far and I've had no problem doing so. I'm sure it'll take many more spins to really appreciate the depth of this work and I'm sure a lot of people simply won't have the attention span for it.

As far as Dream Theater goes, I have not listened to the new album yet. Was just wanting to feel out your opinion......and long works of music don't scare me away as long as it is entertaining
