My friend and neighbour Edna, turned 100 years old today. Her daughters organised a brunch at Edna’s house to celebrate. She is a wonderful lady – lives on her own through choice and is still very sprightly for such an age. She received birthday cards from the Queen, the Prime Minister, the Governor General and the local mayor plus dozens from friends and relatives. I call in to see her regularly and we always have a glass of wine out on her verandah and shoot the breeze. We all enjoyed her party very much and she went around talking to all her guests and was full of life and enjoying her special day
