Alright, I am new to this forum but already addicted. I am going to do a bracket type tournament that pits songs against eachother. I'm not sure if this has been done before. If it has then I guess this is my attempt. This bracket has 32 songs. The first side is earlier (1967 to 1974). The second side is later (1975 to 1982).

Each year has two songs. The winner of that year goes to the second round. Example: 1969 winner would go up against 1970. 1971 winner would go up against 1972 winner in the second round. Think of like a March Madness bracket if you are into sports. Only one entry per band so you won't see any one band such as Led Zeppelin dominate.

PLEASE ONLY VOTE ON ONE SONG PER YEAR

That just means you can't vote for both 1967 songs when they are up against eachother. Vote for the song you like the best that year out of the two. Thanks!

This is part two (later years)

THE FIRST ROUND WILL LAST 5 DAYS

Another good batch of songs:

(1975) Rock and Roll All Nite -Kiss
(1976) More than a Feeling -Boston
(1977) Cold as Ice -Foreigner
(1978) Wheel in the Sky -Journey
(1979) Comfortably Numb -Pink Floyd
(1980) Babe -Styx
(1981) Keep on Loving You -REO Speedwagon
(1982) Hurts so Good -John Cougar Mellencamp

1981 was probably the toughest one for me, love both tunes, but that REO tune has a special place in the soundtrack of my life.

Rock and Roll All Nite ~ The Rock 'N Roll National Anthem...c'mon!

More Than A Feeling ~ Who wasn't jammin' to this song back in the day

Dust In The Wind ~ Speaks volumes for that year

I Want You To Want Me ~ Budokan was HUGE

Higway To Hell ~ I like Pink Floyd better...but majority rules...HTH was booming out of every jam box in high school more so than the Wall

Babe ~ Cheesy, epic goodness from the art rockers from Chi-Town

Keep On Lovin' You ~ Again everyone was rockin' to this song...and a great way to get dates!!

Hurts So Good ~ Way more popular of a song than .38 Special's (which is still good

All great songs though from top to bottom

I voted the same as you on this song, but disagree that one song was more popular than the other - especially not way more popular, imo - anyway, both were pretty big radio hits - and both are cool classic tunes. :grinthumb
