The band wasn't on the tour bus at the time, so it was really the driver (who got fired and sentenced to prison and community service). They accepted responsibility, nonetheless, and agreed to pay any necessary settlements and ensure nothing like that happens again. They handled it fairly well, if you ask me. And your comment about Radiohead and Fred Durst brings me to a point about Axl Rose: There have been instances where he has stopped concerts due to fights in the crowd, because he wanted others to be able to enjoy the show. I'm not saying it justifies the other shit he's done, but it's a somewhat respectable thing to do.
