Otis Redding was my introduction to what I would term 'Proper Music' in the mid to late '60s as I was moving into my teen years. At that time 'Rock' was still evolving from it's various roots and many of the big players have quoted Otis as a huge influence. Front men such as Paul Rodgers started out trying to sound like him. He truly was a huge loss to the world.
