I'm sorry but I can't do it. I have to cheat and tie the 90's with the 2,000's. All my hardcore favorites came out with their best albums in the 90's but all the favorites I listen to now came out with brilliant albums in the 2,000's. The other problem is I have trouble picking one just for each year. I'm almost envious that some can just say with reservation what their favorite decade is. It would save me a lot of money to just have one.

I don't give a shit if this is overkill as I started buying music in the 90's and really picked up when I got my first c.d. player in 1995. Since then it's been overkill in trying to keep up with all the great stuff and balancing all these great albums where I don't even have to skip a song. If there's one thing I learned it's that If I had to have a cut off date I'd start my music from '89 on as Aerosmith-Pump was my 1st #1 album and Nine Inch Nails-Pretty Hate Machine as well as Mr. Big Lean Into It came out that year. I like classic rock (60's, 70's and 80's) and even more since being here but I'm able to prune out the albums I like a lot easier and I don't get the same rush from it. I also find that I really didn't get into the 90's with Nirvana and Pearl Jam the same way most did. I was thrust into it a couple years in by The Smashing Pumpkins, Tori Amos, etc. as the more layered artistic artist of the time.
