Funny how the LOVE IT TO DEATH album IS ALWAYS being name dropped on here?. I can't think why??.

Try listening to THE GROUNDHOGS album SPLIT from 1971 now that is worth listening to rock dudes!!. ;)

'Killer' or 'Love It To Death'....both are interesting to me from that list.
'Schools Out' only has that song on it thats interesting to me.
'Billion Dollar Babies' has more single hits than all the oher ones.

I used to have Pretties For You and Easy Action on old vinyl but traded them off.
Loved I'm 18 when it came out so Love It To Death was my favorite for many years.

My brother and I saw the band in June 1971 at a small club near us..... in Schererville, Indiana. The original Alice Cooper band performed at the Sherwood Club on June 23, 1971, billed as part of the Dex Card's Wild Goose Rock and Roll Club concert series.
The show occurred shortly after the release of their breakthrough Love It To Death album, which featured their first major hit, "I'm Eighteen."

I've seen Alice six times but the first was in 1980, you beat me badly! He is a national treasure everybody should go see because he still puts on a phenomenal show..
I liked the early ones from 'Love It to Billion Dollar Babies'....pretty much stopped there...too many other bands competing for my attention then. Cooper became a gimmicky rock artist to me. Seemed more interested in the atmosphere/look/show than substance of his rock material. Still had some good songs but I often had trouble taking him seriously.
But that's me....I tend to like a bands early stuff better than later material when they often become a parody of themselves.
