It would suck if todays music sounded like 70s or 60s music mainly because it would get monotonous, repetitive, and variety is essential in music whether you like it or not. Thats my take on the matter.
I see a lot of ridiculous elitists on youtube.
One thing I detest about some fans is elitism, also people who think their music taste is superior to others.
Youtube again is common for these sorts of halfwits.

.

I agree! - music TODAY doesn't have to sound like the 60's and 70's...

It just has to be good - that's where it fails. :)

A lot of it I can't stand, but I do think there is some good rock out there.
I love Airbourne, their debut was 2007 and that had a very classic rock sound to it.
There is some good out there, its just gonna take me some time finding it rockwise. I have no issue finding good metal bands.

Groovy, Groovy, Groovy...........this statement is totally YOUR opinion. There are millions of people buying today's music, and millions of people dont feel the music is a failure.

I really feel badly that you haven't found your nitch in the modern realm of music :(

I would actually love it if someone could recommend me some more modern rock bands, based on influences of classic stuff.

And millions of people listen to Lady GaGA...so, what does that mean?:heheh:

Don't feel sorry for me, I listen of tons of music from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.

I have around 8,000 CD's....so, nothing gets boring.

I couldn't even listen to 8,000 CDs in one year!

I''ve dove deep into the classic rock era and I'm doing fine!. :)

Some people here probably listen to Lady Gaga and all power to them
I dont necessarily agree classic is defined by a decade, classic to me means a very memorable band, song or album, its not defined by what year it was made.
