Most overrated rock artists of all time?

One band? "U2, AC~CD and any metal band especially Metallica."

I've always classified Metal as Hard Rock. I will put in my vote for U2.

I agree. I do like a bunch of songs by them but there are more I don't like

Overrated to me means over played on the radio stations. I dont think Led Zeppelin is overrated in talent, musicianship, or production....NO WAY, they are god's in that respect. But they were over played, especially "Stairway to Heaven".

If I have to choose a band that I would consider overrated, using talent, musicianship, and production standards as my guide, I would choose KISS. Very overrated group.

As much as I love AC/DC, they are overrated, but still kicking out the jams That is one aspect of AC/DC I always liked, you only need 3 seconds to know exactly who the song is from, they have a distinctive, reoccuring sound in all their music.

Metallica right now, at the very moment, is highly overrated here in belgium. I don't think there are many kids the age of 12-14 over here that don't "love metallica to death" (aside from the huge pile of kids that don't listen to music but to electronic noises)

But metallica in the old days... I donno they were pretty good...
