I saw Dokken supporting AC/DC years ago at a packed NEC in Birmingham(around 88 iirc) and the last time I saw them was at a small room in Nottingham Rock City. I remember DD walking onstage with a shocked look at the lack of audience and he said " My ****in recording studio is bigger than this place!"
I,ve always liked their music but imo Don Dokken(although he can sing) is one of the worst frontmen I,ve ever seen. All he seems to do if hes not singing is stand there "air drumming" and very little else.

Don's charisma and showmanship as a frontman aren't his strong suits, never have been. He's got a hell of a voice (or at least he did). I think most of the fans of the band were just happy hearing the music and seeing them perform live as opposed to watching any sort of "stage show".

BTW: Don knows that he's an asshole. He has even admitted as much on camera on more than one occassion.

Well, that kinda sucks. :(

Of course, I'll pay attention to whatever he may do if in fact "Dokken" (as a band) is done. Thanks for the info Magic.

Pity GEORGE didn't go out under his own name in the 1980s cos he would have been up there with-

EDDIE VAN HALEN

Instead of being 'the guitar' in DON DOKKEN'S BAND and ending up a NOBODY.

Thats ROCK & ROLL guy's...

I listened to all of the 80's Dokken the other night, including their 70's demos. T&N and UL&K still sound terrific, and BTC is still a cool album. Back For The Attack was the last Dokken album I ever bought.
