Dawes is a folk rock group that I bet would really appeal to the classic rock soul! The influences are obvious but the genuine feel of the band really gives you a good idea that this isn't just a gimmick! They play the music with a genuine soul and passion with every note and every harmony! I strongly recommend them!

That Western Skyline

Not bad, Soots....they have their own sound...sure, you can hear some influences, but defiantly not over done...

Songs were cool, but I wouldn't mind hearing something more upbeat.

I'd like to hear more from them - I'll check them out more on you tube and at their site.

I really like this new live performance! Really stripped down twangish folk that turns into a cool almost Pumpkin like jam at the end!

I'm glad I got the good shit! Yeah, I can see fans of the Allman Brothers or Crosby Stills Nash and Young and past folk rock with tight harmonies liking these guys! These guys have a pure, natural vibe that a lot of other artists now don't necessarily have!

I have to admit it! For the first time in my life a modern "retro" band is really perking up my ears!

These guys do a fantastic job of taking after Neil Young & Tom Petty, which happen to be my two all-time fave acts so I'm loving Dawes! Most bands fail in the pursuit of an old school sound imho but this really sounds legit in my book.
