I remember when this song and album came out. All my friends were AC/DC fans. We use to growl at each other “Dirty Deeds and they’re Done Dirt Cheap”. We loved Bon Scott!
When we heard that Bon Scott passed, it was like, “Oh no, AC/DC is gonna end.” Then the radio made the announcement of a new album. We were skeptical, because how could anything be as good as Highway to Hell?
When I got my Back in Black album, put it on my cheap ass high school turntable (which was in stereo), I fell in love with the first song…..Hells Bells. OMG! What a way to introduce a new singer.
The haunting bells, with a haunting build up to Brian Johnson belting out, “Imma rolling thunder, poring rain. I’m coming on like a Hurricane”. I was hooked! Best tribute ever to Bon Scott.
