^^^ I heard that that was her son in that video with her.. I... could do without hearing that song ever again..:oyea:

Evelyn was big time in the 80's.. Shame was her big hit but from there she pretty much cranked out several albums that had alot of great dance hits on them.

A all time favorite of mine is Patrice Rushens "Forget Me Nots"

I never knew the title or what she was saying. Thanks!

Wow, check out the telegram delivery at :35. And that used to be a fast way to communicate, lol. :lmao:

There was some good rap songs that put to shame what rappers nowdays call music.. Hype the crowd with alot of Ya.. Ya.. Ya.. Bounce.. bounce.. throw your hands in the air and wave em around if you like hair bands!!:flirt
:heheh: I love early rap & hip hop. This one is pretty cheesy (and I now remember I used to have the album).

80's rap was real rap. And the message wasn't so freakin' negative, at least not until the late 80's where the negative shit really started to gain popularity, I think mostly from NWA.

his is my opinion too

old school rap beat lil wayne, 50 cent and all the bs outthere now

they STILL play guitars and such in the 80"s ..making it rap MUSIC :cheers2
A great one from this era /

Devo - Whip It! This was so... out there back then, for pop radio, if they even played it, back when there was that initial divide between pop & new wave. Loved their headgear.
