Sorry Magic, but DL simply is not as heavy as the bands I listed, especially Priest who I consider the Heaviest of the NWOBHM, DL is not part of that group of bands. I'm not saying they don't rock, but Heavy Metal...I don't think so it was not their niche. VH and DL are both similar, just a lighter flavor of metal in my books.

I'll go with Maiden.

But I'm pretty big into all the NWOBHM and German bands of that era too.

Why don't you write a Megadeth thread for us Thumper? I like them but my knowledge about the band is limited, besides I like a hard core fan to energize a thread about a band they are passionate about.

I'm with you on the limited knowledge about them.. Just wanted to throw their name out there and show some appreciation.. Honorable mention since they have some great stuff!!

^^You are right they do deserve to be included. I only have 3 of their albums, so like you I don't really know too much about them.

^^^ Pretty RAW album there LG.. The Title Track is my favorite from that..
I'm a fan of "Countdown to Extinction"


Funny thing about Megadeth is that if you pull up their BIO on ALLMUSIC you would see that under who they are influenced by.... NO METALLICA!!! Is that a rub in the face thing for Mustaine to pull.. I do like Metallica.. Just thought that was interesting since at one time Dave was apart of Metallica and of course things didn't work out for him..
