It was my introduction to Yes DKW, and has a special place in my heart as a result. This year has tremendous depth of quality when it comes to picking a favorite, I could fill a page like our friend Joe does in his lists with great recordings.:D

I'm with you I have to actually pick up the damn CD and read the date to be sure, or use google to find out the information.

It will only give you so much info on google and I'm not looking through 3,000 + CDs lol

Do you guys actually believe I go through all my vinyl and CD's and check dates.:heheh:

I've actually developed a very easy system for each year of music. What I do is go to the RYM website and go to the album charts for a particular year and for certain genres I listen to the most.

For example, the year 1971 I will plug in progressive rock and write down the albums I have from that list. Again, all on memory, as I have forgotten a few albums after doing a list for a certain year.

Then I will plug in heavy psych, hard rock, blues rock, jazz fusion, krautrock, etc. for that year and come up with a list and then go to town to place them in order. Actually it doesn't take that long. Put on some tunes and get 'er done.
