I only own the album History. I do like there music. need to get more of there early albums
My favourite track, apart from Horse With No Name, is Three Roses on the first album. Homecoming is almost as good as the first album. I was disappointed by Hat Trick at the time, but it sounds okay now.
I think Horse With No name is a great track and I am not really a Neil Young fan.
America were sons of officers from the service,Air Force I believe. The name America was suitable for them.Their harmonies and mixture of acoustic guitars made them ahead of their time.
I really like these guys, despite I've only heard their debut album and some tracks, as Ventura Highway.
I love that album, love the acoustic guitars, their folky sound.
Sandman is one of my favourites, as well as Horse With No Name, but I'm gonna put here another one:
Donkey Jaw - America
I never knew that. Mumy was also in a pretty cool movie or two. It's funny but Norm's Rare Guitars is now right up the street from me. I went in there a couple of times before seeing their logo on someone's shirt in a movie. I wondered why all the guitars were priced so high even for rare guitars. It doesn't look like it from the outside but I guess it's a boutique guitar shop.
I like the music they did with Beatles' producer Sir. George Martin on "Holiday",especially the Beatle-esque background vocals on "Lonely People".
This is a very small venue here in the Ozarks...

Well I will be picking up the 5 album box set of their first 5 albums in mini LP form, I will also be picking up the "Here and Now" album as it sound brilliant and I was on that tour, I wish I had picked it up years ago as I think they are one of the best and I am in that mood to lay back and chill.
