Well apparently Alice originally listed these songs on a BBC radio program but I first heard him list it on his own radio show.



Well just going from the http://www.classicrockforums.com/forum/f4/worst-musical-decade-9341/ thread you yourself criticized the 2000's for their music so pardon me for failing to see how you in all fairness can go after Alice for only having one song from the 2000's in a list of ten.

Music is to be enjoyed...your opinion of Alice's list seems to be overly scrutinized.

Your defense of Alice's diversity by listing a bunch of classic rock bands. Sure they cover a lot of ground but it also pretty much proves my initial point...

If you don't get the irony of it, so be it. I found it cute and funny. Like I just said, I don't mind if all he likes is classic rock. I just find it funny that he saw fit to include one song from the 00s... that happens to sound like The Black Crowes. It's cute. Like if I wrote a list of the best metal songs, featuring a bunch of Wold and Ildjarn type bands, songs that are only available on demo albums, and then at the end there's Rock N Roll All Nite. It's cute because it's ironic, it's all in good fun.

I'm sorry if nobody else understood the joke. I wasn't being malicious, I have deep respect for Alice Cooper and I just thought it was funny. I apologize for finding humor in life. That's the kind of humor I like. I spend all day laughing at myself, so don't even begin to think it's something I do against people. I just think life is funny.

Haha, I do hate the 00s. And yet it looks like I might listen to more 00s stuff in a day than Alice does in a year. The fact that he only has one 00s song isn't the funny part, it's that and the song choice that makes it funny. If he had just kept the 90s & 00s out of it then I wouldn't have anything funny to say -- If all he likes is classic rock & 80s music then that's all he likes. The funniest part is how he includes an 00s song that might as well have come out in 1987. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's cute and ironic.

From a top ten list you cannot assess how much modern music Alice listens too. I've heard him in interviews talking about plenty of modern groups that he listens to all the time and even the things he doesn't listen he's aware of.

But what I'd really like to point out is that you "hate the 00s" so of Alice's list of ten there is one song from the 2000's that you yourself even says doesn't sound like it's from the 2000's...so in turn you make fun of him for it....Now I might have gotten lost in a maelstrom of conflicting logic but what you're saying is that Alice is not allowed to "Are You Going To Be My Girl", which is perfectly good song that was very successful in it's own right, because as soon as he does then suddenly his musical tastes becomes "laughable" and "cute"? Basically, because the other nine songs were from before 1988 you look at this list and think "No dammit, you Alice Cooper listen to classic rock. You're not allowed to like this classic rock flavored song from 2003 because it's from the last 20 years. I shall mock and laugh at you.", eh?

I'm so lost in that...like....I don't even have enough breadcrumbs to get home.
