(They're sorted by year by the way)

A Hard Day's Night- The Beatles (1964)
My Generation- The Who (1965)
19th Nervous Breakdown- The Rolling Stones (1966)
Over Under Sideways Down- The Yardbirds (1966)
Rebel Rebel- David Bowie (1974)
My Sharona- The Knack (1979)
Turning Japanese- The Vapors (1980)
Beds Are Burning- Midnight Oil (1987)
Welcome To The Jungle- Guns N' Roses (1987)
Are You Gonna Be My Girl- Jet (2003)

What I really think is interesting with Alice's list is that his favorite songs span such a wide time period and several different styles since that isn't really something you see too often, especially with older artists who usually favorite the days of their youth.

Well then here you go, Fox:

"Are You Gonna Be My Girl" is a very good rock song.

Jet's a cool band for the most part

Alice seems like such a cool guy.. I saw another list, quite a while ago, maybe it was just extended or something because I'm pretty sure those songs were all on the list, but I remember there being a Mott the Hoople song on the list:think:

Bahahahaha. That Jet song... ahahaha. Alice Cooper has very laughable taste.

Nothing but singles on the list! Has this guy never listened to an album in his life?

Over Under Sideways Down has damn good lyrics, though. :D

So just because Alice's 10 songs are all singles, very successful singles might I add, you jump to the conclusion that he's never listened to an album ever? If I were to take a guess then I'd bet Alice knows a whole lot more about music than you (or I for that matter) and wouldn't call your taste in music "laughable". That's just rude. :nw:

Nope, I ASKED if he has. Most people who listen to music extensively dig deeper into the catalogues and their favorite song lists wouldn't read like that, so it's a valid question.

If I were to take a guess then I'd bet Alice knows a whole lot more about music than you (or I for that matter)

Ummmm... ... why? 'Cause he's a musician? Being a musician doesn't mean he listens to a lot of music. People like you and me probably have more time to dedicate to music listening than a star like him. You might be surprised how little a lot of musicians really pay attention to music other than their own. In fact a lot of musicians at this age stopped listening to new music decades ago, which seems pretty plausible for Alice considering his sole entry from the last 20 years is the most played retro-tripe to be released in that time. *shrug*

He probably heard that Jet song on a TV commercial. I mean, he couldn't even pick a song that doesn't sound like it's a b-side from The Black Crowe's debut album? Hehehe. I'm just taking the piss of the guy, that's obvious. I don't know what he listens to outside of these 10 tracks. But is his list somehow beyond criticism because he's big bad Alice Cooper? If I posted, say, a top 10 of all-time and it was nothing but Nirvana songs, you don't think anybody on here'd say anything about it?

wouldn't call your taste in music "laughable". That's just rude. :nw:

Well, his bad music taste makes me laugh. What else would I call it? These are okay tracks but they aren't even very notable among each of these artists' catalogues. I can guarantee you pretty much everybody on this board would post a list I would find less laughable than his. When Alice Cooper starts posting on this board, I'll begin to consider being cordial to him.

AAG.. not only was that uncalled for.. have you ever heard or read anything about or from Alice.. he's a very intelligent, laid back guy.. There are even a few folks on here that met him and said he was incredibly knowledgeable... And from what I've read or who I've talked to, most musicians don't listen to their own tunes after they are done recording it.. they are too sick of it to listen to it.. Most of those are classic time tested, great songs.... These songs have made members' lists on here, and are they laughable?.. Or are you just ripping on him because he is Alice Cooper.. he's a human being, just like you....:hm:
