In the late 70's a movie was made called "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".

The movie was........let's just say not good.....although it was on some cable station a few years ago and for some reason I watched it....again.

It was like a whose who of music/pop culture in the late 70s. The Bee Gees and Peter Frampton had the lead roles.

But I also wonder if it was a curse movie because so many of the careers of the people and bands went downhill after this movie.

Bee Gee's had Saturday Night Fever (Disco still sucks) before this. Were never as big again.

Frampton after the movie kind of vanished.

Aerosmith (did "Come Together") did more drugs and faded till the mid 80's.

Alice Cooper had a string of top albums stop, as he entered rehab.

Wow, a thread about maybe the best and most covered song writers in the history of music probably has some mileage!!

These three mighty covers from 3 of my all time greats....

The Sound - great great call on Helter Skelter. With one of the great spoken word openings of all time ""This is a song Charles Manson stole from The Beatles. We're stealing it back."
