Signal, a cracking AOR band made up of Mark Free (King Kobra, Unruly Child), Danny Jacob (Grand Illusion), Erik Scott (Alice Cooper) and Jan Uvena (Alice Cooper, Alcatrazz). Their one album, 1990's Loud & Clear is great, fans of Journey and Bad English will love these guys.

Top thread brother Sweaty !! Lots and lots of one album bands to choose from.....ZWAN ..good call. Some good bands already mentioned....just makes me think, what could have been....

Heres a GEM of an album I bought in the cheapie bins in the 70s. THE BOYZZ [ Steppenwolf, Black Oak Arkansas southern boogie style influences here..] Featuring the vocal style of the brilliantly named Dirty Dan Buck . As far as I know they only made one album in 1978...."Too wild to tame"......they deserved better.
2 of the members later changed image /musical styles to form B"ZZ

 One of my absolute favorites that I purchased last year Sweaty. "Do What You Like" is a lengthy track but just the perfect showcase for each artist to show off their skills and what made them so great individually and in their respective projects. Do you know why BF didn't continue on?

I don't know the full story word for word but it is noted that the band became massive very quick and very soon after Cream had broken up. Clapton for one felt trapped and when they returned from touring abroad the band broke up and went their seperate ways leaving Clapton to work with Delaney and Bonnie.

Something like that anyways it was a pearler of an album:)

As I was saying....what could have been with some of these bands .
THE SEA HAGS debut and only album turned some heads in 1989 with its fine sleaze glam/metal feel to it. Recorded by Guns n Roses producer Mike Clink the future it seemed looked promising .......but things didnt workout
Apparently even the bands manager had once quoted "......theres only so far you can get with 3 junkies and one alcoholic "......a sad hint that this band werent to last.It proved true
The bass player died of a suspected overdose and that was basically the end of the band. A shame..:uh:..cracking album

No Accident by Driver, which includes the brilliant Rocket to the Stars (and I never use the word brilliant, except just then of course).

Lou/Realm's mention of The Boyzz, reminded me of Get Up by The B'zz, which contains the astonishing title track.

Refugee by Refugee, which is really The Nice with Patrick Moraz. Ritt Mikely is better than anything by The Nice and I am a Keith Emerson fan! How I wish they had released a follow up to this masterpiece.

I almost forgot St. Paradise by St. Paradise, who were the underrated Derek St. Holmes (from Ted Nugent's band) with Montrose members Denny Carmassi and Rob Grange. It sounds like a marriage made in heaven and it was, but it did not last. I live in hopes that they will reform for another album, which gives Derek St. Holmes the recognition he deserves.

If you haven't heard the Temple of the Dog album, it is worth getting for the concise Hunger Strike and the rambling Reach Down.
