Happy Friday...actually I have a Tears for Fears greatest hits CD and the inside booklet said that Shout followed in the third generation of another big "Shout" hit..

60's Twist and Shout (Isley Brothers/Beatles)
70's Shout It Out Loud (KISS)

and these guys...

But to be a little fair here...they didn't do techno their entire career. They made a point to create a band sound...and also both these guys started in a METAL band.

Their more "Beatle Influenced" side

^^^That video isn't helping the Tear For Fears cause...

and the Beatles, Kiss and Isley Brother references, doesn't make it a good song.

Gimme Jimmy Buffet!!!!...

C'mon MP, break loose and sing!:

:nana:

''I like mine with lettuce and tomato
Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes
Big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer
Well good God Almighty which way do I steer for my
Cheeseburger in paradise!''

well they are certainly up there for worst haircuts. :oyea:

Those haircuts were totally badass.

If I was born a dude, I'd be sporting one right now.
'Cause I'm trendy like that. :D

Ohhh. I love Tears for Fears. :D

(And Depeche Mode.
...And the Smiths.
And basically any other melodramatic 80s band.)

Also, love songs. For some reason they just creep me out, and make me feel very nervous.

I like the all boys/all girls sound when it was still young. Back in the 60s, before all that shit was recycled a million times and turned into something wretched.

I love girl groups of the 60s.

And, perhaps, the "boy bands" of the 50s would be referred to as "doo-wop" groups - which I also love. That's when it mattered, and it was music. It was something fresh and new, and the kids were all over it. In the 90s, this concept was completely lost - it wasn't fresh, and it wasn't new. It was like the garbage laying on the very bottom layer of trash in a hoarder's house.
