Holey Smokes! some of those groups I have never heard of or dont recall hearing of them anyway...like Thundermug and Maneige.

Here's Thundermug:

And here are some other not often mentioned Canadian acts:

Kensington Market

I'm big fans of all these Canadian Rockers...

in no particular order...

The Guess Who
Bachman-Turner Overdrive
Neil Young
Joni Mitchell
Gordon Lightfoot
Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush
April Wine
Triumph

And some of the members of Steppenwolf and most of The Band were from Canada...

Also, I like some of Bryan Adams early stuff.

Same as on my list.:grinthumb

Ditto about Bryan Adams but I quickly grew tired of him when he became the overplayed darling of the clear channel drone.

Foxhound mentioned Thundermug. Excellent choice.:grinthumb

There is also the often overlooked but highly enjoyable Chilliwack.

Maneige was a instrumental jazz fusion/symphonic prog. band from Quebec in the 70's. Actually there was quite few bands of the same ilk from that province in that era.

Thudermug released three albums in the early/mid 70's. High energy, blazing hard glam rock. I don't think the albums were ever issued on CD.

I believe they were recently made available on CD:

Hmmmmm. In July of 1964 I shared a tent in scout camp with Eddie Pranskus, who would become the drummer of Thundermug. He was into the Dave Clark Five as opposed to the Beatles at the time. Somehow "glam" is not a word I would use to describe either Ed or the other fellows. :dunno: Ed is second from the left in both these pics:

Here are a couple more artists that merit mention. The incredibly talented keyboardist/songwriter/showman, Larry Gowan:

Gowan

Plus these more jocular fellows:

Doug & the Slugs

And a frequently overlooked folk combo, Ian & Sylvia with Great Speckled Bird, that put out some truly beautiful music:
