Who is your favorite Canadian Music Artist or Band?

That is a tough question...our most successful band in history is Rush.

Our most revered artist...it's probably a toss up between Gordon Lightfoot and Neil Young.

One of our most beautiful...Shania Twain, and classical guitarist Liona Boyd deserves mention.

I like so many of the bands from the 70's and 80's,,,it's hard to pick one.



I am not sure picking a favorite is really possible, but I'll give the nod to BTO because I started with them, I had all their albums up to Freeways, and bought them as soon as they came out.

It's a tie between April Wine and Trooper.

gotta be bryan adams, waking up the neighbours being my personal fave, great voice with great catchy songs.

Being from the Great White North I have an appreciation for a lot of artists especially from the 70's like Thundermug, Dillinger, The Hunt, Rush, Triumph, A Foot in Coldwater, Moxy, Charlee, Maneige, Niel Merryweather, The Stampeders.

Holey Smokes! some of those groups I have never heard of or dont recall hearing of them anyway...like Thundermug and Maneige.

I have most of Bryan Adams' cds.He was much better earlier in his career when he rocked.I first saw him in concert in 1982 opening for Foreigner.

I also really like Triumph and April Wine.Other Canadian bands I like are Honeymoon Suite and Red Rider

Honeymoon Suite...haven't heard any of their stuff in a long time.
