Every major city in Australia has a big casino. They all look the same to me - I hate those machines which some folk seem to be addicted to.

Personally, I'm not a gambler either. I was last down in AC 2 years ago (I think) and saw Stevie Nicks at The Borgata. I didn't do any gambling.

It must have such a buzz - I don't know if I would want to live there though - I'm a country gal at heart :D

Yup, I couldn't live there. I go in maybe twice a year.

I used to feel the same way. I was never too keen about the noise, the crowd, etc but this year I've been going A LOT for indie rock shows and every time it's a different venue so I always see different places which is pretty cool.
Now my mind has changed quite a bit, I think I would like to live there some time in the future but I'd probably go poor pretty quick thanks to those indie shows :heheh:. I live in Long Island and the only thing stopping me from going more often is the fact that I live about an hour (by train) from NYC.
There's just SO MUCH to do, so much to see, so much to eat, etc!!

Yup, there is so much to do, that's for sure. I'm 45 minutes by train. I just don't think I could live with the daily hustle and bustle. But the few times a year that I do go in, I really enjoy.

Crook is ill?? Hey, I am learning.

I never gamble because I really suck at it, but up here people love casinos, especially the elderly.

NY would be cool because you get every act known to man going through there...

Long Island?? Atrim you a hockey fan?? Tough times for your Islanders ahead.

Nope, Not much of a sports person . Tbh I didn't know much about them until recently when they started talking about the new arena they wanted to build...apparently they're horrible so I'm not surprised that was denied to them.

Odd question, but you ever see any of those You Tube clips of people staring and wandering on the property of the Amityville Horror house? Owning that thing must be a nightmare..they even film themselves trespassing all over the place, would drive me bonkers. Each new owner must think "oh, how bad can it be"..it would be brutal. :wtf: when I saw you were from NY I immediately thought of those videos.
