By any chance, is there any connection with this cut & War? The vocalist sounds an awful lot like Eric Burdon, and the song sounds a lot like the spoken parts of Spill The Wine

4/10, and that's being generous, because I don't think it was really a song, but more a beatnik reading.

I was digging it until the background singers started off, that killed it for me. Personally, the only thing I like about the song is how the music speeds up and slows down,kind of like waves in a ocean go in and out. Kind of funny since the song is called Surf City. (At least to me xD)
