A quarter of the US top 40 are best of's and soundtracks. Shocked that Sgt. Pepper's not on the list.

Do you like Shania Twain?

I like her music, I have her first 3 CD's. She is no different than Olivia Newton John, Carly Simon, Carole King or any other female singer/songwriter in my opinion. I don't consider her country either, she's soft rock/pop in my book.

And Tray is also right I find her very attractive, I've seen her up close in person, add to that her down to earth attitude and she's almost perfect.

Okay, fair enough. I am a Paul Sabu and Mutt Lange fan, but I think the latter could see the big money in her (and he must have a taste for girls in leopard skin print). I don't blame him at all. Her music just seems a bit bland to me considering the big sales. But having said this, I am strangely attracted to Celine Dion!

^^Funny I can't stand Celine Dion, her popularity escapes me. What I also like about Shania, she writes her own songs (Most of them) unlike many of her peers who depend on the songwriters in Nashville providing material. She plays guitar, she is a well rounded performer who puts on a good concert.

Sooty also considers Celine Dion the Anti-Christ....(musically anyway, no offense to anyone intended). :heheh:

Yeah, I know he does. I love her version of Steinman's It's All Coming Back to Me Now and Meatloaf made a big mistake passing on that one. Pete Sinfield has worked for her which is always good to my way of thinking. I don't always like the girl singers who belt it out, but there is something about Celine.

We've all got our Anti-Christs.
