A good song! I like his cover of Johnny B. Goode.
- In The Ghetto
- Bosom of Abraham
- Wooden Heart
- Way Down
- Fools Rush In
- America The Beautiful
- Bossa Nova Baby
- Only The Strong Survive

Are my favorite songs of the King. (or interpretation, because some songs are not originally wrote by Elvis)

When I first got here, I wrote I had strong ties to this date. August 16th, Elvis died. I was 13 and it was the first time I ever saw my Mom cry.

The Missus and I were looking at dates in August to get married. I told her...if you want an anniversary date I won't ever forget, then let's get married on the 16th.

That was 22 years ago, and I still rub her feet and she still makes sure I have clean work clothes.

All that aside...

Bring anyone you want...there's only ever going to be one King.

American Trilogy starts at about 3:20. And still gets me.

I honestly can't remember if my mom cried or not, but I do very vividly remember being in the car with her when we heard the news on the radio. We were sitting at a stoplight about a half mile from home and my mom just kept on saying "OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG..."

Elvis was one of the greatest performers in rock history. He will forever be remember and will forever be missed. A lot of famous people will come and go (music, movies, etc), but Elvis is one figure that I think will be remembered forever... and justly so.
