I agree, they don't. And considering it's more of a Hall of Sham than "Fame", for the most part it doesn't bother me. But then I see bands and artists that are SO much less deserving getting in and bands like Kiss, Deep Purple, Chicago, Alice Cooper and others not getting their due, it saddens me as well as pisses me off.

Can an organization like this even possibly come close to making everybody happy? Not possible! With every artist listed their they've made some fans really happy and at the same time someone's really pissed! Unless the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame shuts down I'm sure everybody will see their favorite band inducted! Whether or not the band members are alive by that point is a different story but they will get their due nonetheless! Just like any hall of fame they can't play all their cards in one hand. They also seem to aim to have a diverse roster of picks each time. I believe the R & R Hall of Fame is for all genres of music but they really blackballed themselves with their name!

Personally, I feel that all "Hall of Fames" out there are pretty crummy. Either the voters are too subjective, not subjective enough, or it's a matter of popularity, or the flipside, which nominees were well liked ~and~ kissed butt. This goes for music, sports, the film industry, etc.
