Not sure why we need a thread for each new recent inductee when one thread could easily lay it all out.... but anyone with the name 'that 70's guy' is ok. ;)
Ozzy got in with Sabbath....again do we need a repeat induction...and that goes for all the other multiple inductees over the years also.

First off, any conversation about who should and shouldn't be in the RRHOF is a joke to begin with, but...

Ozzy solo is definitely worthy of it's own induction. He lead a whole new generation of listeners who were too young for Black Sabbath, but had just as much of an impact on.

I watched Jack Black's and Ozzy's short speech and was unexpectedly moved. I didn't bother watching they performance.

I would rather watch the performance over a speech...especially one by Osbourne, but I'm sure some of his solo lps are good, but if you're in then you're in....2 inductions ?... when there are bands, some better imho, who aren't even in yet...really?
As far as who should or shouldn't be in...it should be based on rock 'n roll which was the original premise and the name of the effing place.....or they should have named it the Pop, Rock n Roll, Soul, R&B, and Rap Hall of Fame to begin with.

So were you against John Lennon getting in when The Beatles were already in? Paul McCartney? Stevie Nicks?
Will you be against Phil Collins when he eventually gets in?

What I will say about Ozzy solo is that he was the face of heavy metal for a generation that is frankly not all that interested in 70's Black Sabbath. If there was no Black Sabbath, and ONLY Ozzy solo, he should still be in.

The argument about who's in and who's not is a clownshow. How the F does Foreigner get in when Iron Maiden is not? What did Foreigner have..a good half dozen years, while Maiden is touring sold out US arenas this fall supporting a new album.

Yeah, that ship sailed long ago. I'm fine with it being called the Music HOF.

Lennon and McCartney got in with the Beatles...personally did not think that much of their solo work...so I dont think they needed to get in again since the Beatles work was far better.
Collins got in with Genesis....he was a great drummer...personally thought his solo stuff was trite...didnt care for it nor his singer period with Genesis...but that 's just me.
Ozzy's solo stuff is ok but again he was already in and the Sabbath material was groundbreaking for the time..his solo material was not imho... though Rhodes was a great guitarist.

I agree ...the whole thing is a clown show when Foreigner gets in and not Maiden, Tull, Free, Crimson, etc...etc.....and thats my point all along...Hall of Shame is more like it. :p

From last year.....
