I like those songs in film noir but on their own they really dont do much for me since I quit smoking cigs. I'll give it 7/10 since Yves Montand was a cool cat
My favorite Italian prog band PFM......from Per Un Amico....'Appena Un Po'
more prog than vocals but......
I have a White Lion CD I got years ago. This song was interesting A. I don't understand what he's saying since the sub titles are Danish B. The american T.V reels had me trying to figure out the connection. 8/10
Mike Tramp(White Lion)-Ham Vi Vil Være. Ham, vi vil være means Him we want to be like (wannabe). As if I say that I want to be like Clint Eastwood.....
I always tenderly loved to Lacrimosa. They can create an amazing atmosphere in their music - this cannot be confused with anyone else. Another wonderful melancholic elegy - with a touch of German straightforwardness, but still graceful... 9/10.
The next one is in Russian. A song by heavy-power band Grand-Courage from their latest concept album based on Arthurian legends. It's called "Get fly!".
oh, before listening to this, I would have wanted to take the sword I don't have, and cut through non-existent dragons!
But, I have to say that music, even if powerful, is quite repetitive... which takes its power away in this case (in my opinion)...
and his vocals almost do the same thing. So, it's a 6/10
next one is sung in Sardinian... it's a sardinian love song, by the band Tazenda.
No potho reposare means "I can't rest"
I hope to not have posted it yet, here... honestly I can't remember if I did.
I really like that some of the most successful and credible bands from Japan are made by woman.
But I also have to say that they almost sound too similar to one another, in terms of musical sound and vocals.
Maybe they could work on some more variety. But, this said, the song's enjoyable, with nice riffs. 7/10
